Born in Akita Prefecture Japan in 1960. Since 1998, She has been involved in the design of toys and miscellaneous goods, and she has expressed herself in various media such as painting, sculpture, performance, video, and picture books. Recently she had solo exhibition "Fur Story" at Leeds Arts University (UK) and "Hunter Gatherer" at Akita Prefectural Museum of Modern Art (Akita, Japan) in 2018. She also exhibited group exhibition for Setouchi Triennale 2019 in Japan, "Japan-Spirits of Nature" at Akbaral Museum (Sweden). In 2020, she produced official posters for the Tokyo Olympics, and had her solo exhibition “Tomoko Konoike Chugaeri” (Artizon Museum).
