Düller is about an affection for writing. In modern society, the way people communicate and collect information has changed dramatically due to the widespread use of email and the internet. Today, it is almost impossible to live a day without using electronic devices. We also wouldn't be surprised if we go through a day without 'writing' at all. In fact, we are increasingly alienated from 'writing'. Despite the trends, why is it that the numbers of stationery lovers have actually increased rather than declined? Why? Düller is founded in Japan but it is German-inspired,  associating itself with minimalism, high quality, functionalism, durability and operability. Düller believes that those key words are not only the fruit of German design and production, they also represent "Germanism" and the German lifestyle. For Germans, rationalism is a virtue and excess decoration is just ugly. Düller is a representation of "Less is More". Düller started with the aim to make products which provide relief and comfort to consumers. It emphasises the use of materials, colour-ways, the tactile impression, design and quality. As a result, Düller adheres to the true forms and ideas that have made writing what it is today. In the design world, adding something means nothing. (more...)
