By Artist Madsaki
Born in Osaka, on the day of New Year in 1974, Madsaki was brought up in a typical Japanese family. He liked tree climbing, insects, drawing and cycling as he had no one to play with. In 1980, his family moved to New Jersey, US, where he experienced living in a white enviornment that he found to be not dis-similiar to living in hell. It was this traumatic experience which led him to search for himself. This marked the beginning of his art career.
Escaping from life like a living ghost, he tried to have a fresh start in NYC where he enrolled in Parson's School Of Art. He was deeply into art and drew like mad during the four years he was there. In 1996, however, he stopped drawing as he found no place for him to belong and felt his degree certificate had no use apart from being stuck on a fridge, so he decided to set out on a journey without a destination.
In 1999, after four years of wandering about the bottom of life and become moulds of the earth, he decided to become a NYC bike messenger. The three years as a messenger made him realise the value of life and that he is the energy and the light. Every single elements, whether it be positive or negative, comes to life when energy is given and he will be able to send and receive information unconsciously by uniting the energies that surround him. This becomes his philosophy and concept of his art.
The way Madsaki creates things is like a messenger collecting the packets from all over the city. Art is his tool to search his root, just like messenger need his bicycle. His changing images becomes visible when he logs in to the multi-dimentional of unconsciousness and feelings.
He finds the time of most value when he could share happiness and suffering together with a lot of people, and this is his style.
